Civil Society Organization (CSO) is a collective term for non-governmental and civic organizations, cooperatives, social movements, and professional and business groups that actively advocates societal development and the public’s shared interests. It was created through the Local Government Code of 1991 to encourage citizen perspective and involvement in governance so as to ensure that basic services are aligned to people’s needs.

In this connection, the Municipality of Mahayag is inviting all existing and operating Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to participate the 2022 CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION CONFERENCE to be held on August 4, 2022, 8:00 o’clock in the morning at the Municipal Gymnasium. Each CSO must send one (1) participant who will represent the organization.
